Get ready for World Kindness Day and start spreading the love! A little kindness goes a long way…
It is so important to encourage and model kindness to our kids. Beyond all of the math, language arts, science, etc., lays our social and emotional health, which should really be at the top of our priority list. Before we can teach the core curriculum, we need our students to be able to work cooperatively, treat each other with respect, and show compassion towards one another.
World Kindness Day: Setting Goals and Reflecting
I find that it’s useful for kids to set goals for themselves to be kind. When we reflect on our own behaviors and attitudes, we make room for personal growth and social development.
Here is a 5 Day Kindness Challenge activity you can use with your students to celebrate World Kindness Day and encourage positive behaviors.
If we as teachers and parents are responsible for guiding the next generations, then let’s emphasize kindness and compassion! Let’s inspire our kids to be well-rounded, thoughtful contributors to our world.
